So I’m not going to lie. Anytime I see a .ca domain name being advertised by someone prominent, I often think… Which domainer owned that one before and what did it sell for?

The one below is no different with the premier of Alberta constantly advertising AlbertaisCalling.ca.

Have you sold a domain to a prominent person or group/company?

Last year, a friend of mine sold a .ca for 5 figures to the NDP so I know that they do exist.

Calgary is a pretty good city - if you like living in a city.
YYC would be a great domain to promote Calgary under :)

So what would a domain like YYC fetch for? ;)

Occasionally I do peek at the real estate prices in Edmonton & Calgary (I live in Toronto).

However, according to the TaxTips.ca website:

TaxTips.ca - Canada's Top Marginal Tax Rates by Province/Territory

the lowest marginal tax rates (in the highest tax bracket) for eligible dividends (that's where most of my income is from) are actually in the Northwest Territories (28.33%), Yukon (28.93%), and Saskatchewan (29.64%). Those are much lower than Ontario (39.34%) and even Alberta (34.31%).

So, perhaps it's "Hello Yellowknife!" (or Whitehorse, or Regina) one day, rather than Calgary or Edmonton.... ;)

I think this should have been posted in the three word domains:)

This unpopular, on his way out, Premier is just trying to attract modern liberal-minded voters from other provinces. Creating real economic prosperity would involve, among others, tax and business friendly environment where migration would occur organically.
